Proof of Work The most famous and well-known coins, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, although their differences, use a consensus algorithm called Proof of Work, in which an extraordinary and expensive computing power is put in place, spent to calculate complex mathematical elaborations, in order to create and validate a block of transactions. This activity is called mining. The main purpose of this and other algorithms is to elect a leader, a mining node, who decides the contents of the next block and its transmission to the network, so that everyone can verify and record the validity of its contents. In order to elect a node as a leader, it is necessary that it finds a solution to a mathematical problem and that all the nodes in the network recognize the correctness of the resolution. In this way, the miner will receive a reward, both for the mined block and for the transaction fees, and therefore it will have an incentive to continue mining.

Although the end user should not worry about whether the technology is quantum resistant or not, it is the industry and blockchain experts who should prepare . . . before it gets too late! A few weeks ago Google announced a turning point in quantum computing: the company in Mountain View would reach “quantum supremacy”, creating in fact a computer able to complete calculations, which even the fastest supercomputer in the world could not replicate. Unlike normal computers, quantum computers use qubits: as the classic bit allows two states, state 0 and state 1, so qubits does, but thanks to the superposition principle, it is possible to combine linearly the two states, increasing exponentially the power and speed of these computers. PREMISE In Blockchain encryption it is rather difficult (not to say impossible) to calculate the value of a private key, having only the public one available.

Che cosa si intende con il termine De.FI e quali paradigmi finanziari stà andando a creare ? A tutt’oggi stanno emergendo nuove forme di  finanza decentralizzata di prodotti,  che ambiscono a concedere (anche) finanziamenti, prendendo a prestito cryptovalute. Esistono diverse piattaforme e applicazioni decentralizzate, disponibili a chiunque in possesso di un portafoglio crittografico. In questo senso non ci sono limiti ne all’utilizzo ne alla posizione geografica del richiedente, nè tantomeno a chi ora effettua prestiti su queste piattaforme decentralizzate, per guadagnare reddito passivo attraverso interessi . A tutt’oggi esistono centinaia di progetti DeFi ed il  90%  almeno sfrutta la rete Ethereum, ma non mancano le eccezioni, come per esempio  Cake.defi , un fork di BITCOIN.
