Il Venezuela soffre di iperinflazione e il presidente ha  recentemente svalutato la valuta del paese del 95%  . La gente del posto si rivolge alle criptovalute come riserva di valore più stabile, per effettuare transazioni. Ogni mese, 200 commercianti si stanno registrando per accettare una criptovaluta chiamata dash. Mentre l'inflazione si scatena, una cryptovaluta, piu' di altre, si fa' strada in Venezuela, il suo nome è DASH 

Dash has suddenly risen to the third position in digital currency ranking, increasing from around $8 to a stratospheric $37 in two months. It’s market cap now stands just above a quarter of a billion dollars, but is still far away from Ethereum, which has also risen to a total value of $1.4 billion. Dash has suddenly increased in value –  image from poloniex The stratospheric rise appears to coincide with the release of a new software upgrade which, on the surface, seems to offer no significant new innovation. Why, therefore, has this currency suddenly risen so quickly and so high?

Cryptocurrency  Dash  and digital payments platform  BlockPay  have combined to produce a solution where shoppers can pay with Dash directly from the merchant. Dash users scan a QR Code or tap their phone on a BlockPay NFC terminal. “This partnership benefits our entire community and all future Dash users because adoption grows alongside real world applications,” Dash vice president of business development Daniel Diaz said. “We found BlockPay and Dash have very common goals and together we are educating people on how cryptocurrencies can often be a better alternative to fiat.”

Dash is back in the news, dominating the daily feed in regard to digital currency dynamos. Boy, you would not have guessed this much traffic for anything other than bitcoin in the digital currency space about a year ago. It looks as though Dash is lighting the furnace under bitcoin, turning up the heat for the digital payments industry. The company has announced a partnership with Wall of Coins that will essentially allow people to buy and sell Dash from a nearby bank or financial services branch.
