l mercato dell’oro è “molto forte” e potrebbe raggiungere i 3.500 $ in due anni, ha detto un analista a CNBC questa settimana. I prezzi sono aumentati e hanno   raggiunto livelli record   lunedì tra le preoccupazioni per la  pandemia di  coronavirus  e le tensioni tra Stati Uniti e Cina. “Ciò che è veramente significativo è la velocità con cui sono passati $ 1,923 che era il massimo precedente.  L’altra cosa che è stata ... molto, molto importante è stata il fatto che ha attraversato $ 1.800 e con simile facilità ”, ha affermato Barry Dawes, presidente esecutivo di Martin Place Securities.  “Questo in sostanza mi sta dicendo che questo è un mercato molto, molto forte.” L’oro spot è stato   scambiato di circa lo 0,55% in meno a circa $ 1,931,24 l’oncia martedì pomeriggio in Asia.

Alla fine l’oro è tornato a toccare il livello di 1800 dollari l’oncia. Livello al quale era arrivato nel lontano biennio  2011-2012 , testando per tre volte quella soglia senza superarla (le tre frecce verdi sulla sinistra): Il livello di  1800 dollari l’oncia  è di gran lunga il piu’ importante nella storia recente, non solo dell’oro, ma di  tutta l’economia moderna .

 L'Egitto ha scoperto un giacimento d'oro da oltre un milione di once nel proprio deserto orientale. Come riporta il sito del quotidiano Al Ahram, lo ha annunciato il ministero del Petrolio. Crypto Facilities, la criptovaluta con sede nel Regno Unito acquisita l'anno scorso da Kraken, ha annunciato lunedì di aver acquisito una licenza che apre le porte all'offerta di servizi derivati ​​agli investitori istituzionali. La licenza multilaterale di negoziazione (MTF) è stata concessa dalla UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).  Dalla sua  acquisizione nel febbraio 2019  , l'azienda offre la sua piattaforma con il nome Kraken Futures. 

Ethereum has seen a new wave of entrants looking to establish their own decentralized prediction markets. A number of cryptocurrency proponents have been discussing the stablecoin DAI this week, as the DAI allegedly held on the Compound platform is much larger than what is recorded in circulation. At press time, Compound statistics show there’s $523 million worth of DAI held in reserves, while the web portal daistats.com shows there’s only 160 million DAI in circulation. There seems to be another mystery in the world of decentralized finance (defi) again as the crypto community is now discussing the stablecoin DAI and the algorithmic money market protocol Compound.

A crypto whale known for challenging conventional crypto wisdom and placing large Bitcoin bets on Bitfinex says there is a looming derivatives crisis that BTC won’t provide an antidote for. Joe007, who recently returned to Twitter after a nearly two-month hiatus, says he’ll invest in the dollar-pegged stablecoin Tether (USDT) and gold bars if and when the crisis begins, at least until the worst of the liquidity crunch is over.
