In questa ricerca si afferma che è in arrivo, per il 2012, un'espulsione di massa coronale solare, che aprirà un varco nella magnetosfera caricandola di plasma, fatto che darà inizio alla più grande tempesta magnetica che abbia mai colpito il pianeta Terra. HUNDREDS of pigeon fanciers have dubbed an area “England’s Bermuda Triangle” after the mysterious disappearance of more than 200 of their prize-winning birds. Fanciers have been regularly losing birds between Thirsk and Wetherby in North Yorkshire, and Consett, County Durham, this summer. In the latest episode, 232 pigeons were released in a blue riband race but only 13 made it home. Some owners have lost more than half of their birds since the season started in April. And with pedigree pigeons worth up to £200,000 each, the mysterious area is fast becoming a no-fly zone.     August 11, 2012 – INDONESIA - An Indonesian man has died of bird flu, the health ministry said Saturday, in the country's ninth fatal case this year. “The deceased was a self-employed 37-year-old male,” according to a report on the health ministry's website. The man was hospitalized on July 24 with a high fever and was placed on a ventilator five days later, according to the report. He died on July 30. Authorities do not know how the man contracted the virus, but said he lived near poultry farms. Indonesia has been hardest-hit by bird flu, with 159 fatalities reported since 2003 out of 359 worldwide, according to World Health Organization figures, which include the latest death. Bird flu, also known as the H5N1 virus, typically spreads from birds to humans through direct contact, but experts fear it could mutate into a form that is easily transmissible between humans. –Medical Xpress

A double-reading was shown on preliminary results, embedded within the single longwave. Further analysis has shown this to not be a computer error. Two M8s have peaked in California.
