Andrea Rossi has provided some interesting responses to questions on his site recently — it appears that progress on his E-Cat project is ongoing.
Some of the most interesting exchanges are below:
Q: .Remember that at the present time any speculations from supporters or critics are only educated guesses which will be proved or disproved in October.I am hoping that Rossi and his very impressive team will score a winning goal for humanity.Isnt this an exciting time!Go Rossi!!!
A: Thank you. I am now in the USA and my 1 MW plant is growing wonderful.
Q:If someone injected a micro stream of hydrogen gas into a vessel of liquid nickel could the reaction that you discovered take place?
A: No.
Q:There is any relation between the pressure of Hidrogen in the reactor vessul Thus the efficency and self-substaining process?
A: Yes
Q: Three new topics of research have been mentioned in the last few weeks:
A) Developing 30KW ecat modules.
B) Increasing efficiency of steam electricity production
C) Perfecting designs for self sustaining ecats with no input electricity

Q: How fares your progress on these engineering efforts?
A:
A- Working on this.
B- in progress: within one year we should be ready
C- Remarkable progress

Rossi has said that his main focus these days is to make sure the 1 MW plant is ready for the October launch, and from what he says that plant is “growing wonderfully”. However there seems to be a lot of other research going on, perhaps in conjuction with the “top scientists” he has mentioned who he met in Uppsala in Sweden.
A self-sustaining E-Cat with no electrical input would be a vast step forward, and it hardly seems possible that Rossi can be doing all the research on his own, especially since he seems to be continuously flying all over the world. (I wonder how he handles the jet lag issue)
I expect the research efforts going on now are only a prelude to the amount of R&D that will take place once the reality of a working E-Cat is widely accepted — there could be much remarkable progress to look forward to over the coming months and years.
